Amazon Prime: Amazon's Membership Program
The Prime membership program offers a whole range of special access for Amazon customers. With a Prime subscription, customers receive numerous exclusive benefits such as:

- Discounted Prime offers, e.g. on Prime Day
- Exclusive Prime items that cannot be purchased without Prime

- Prime Video including Amazon Originals
- Prime Reading: Access to a free selection of e-books
Amazon Prime for Sellers and Vendors
Vendors automatically benefit from Amazon Prime, as their products are shipped via Amazon. As a seller, however, you also have the option to ship your products with Prime if you want to take advantage of this benefit. Prime customers, and that's 17.3 million Germans alone (as of 2019), often filter for Prime products when searching for products. Through the Prime status, the visibility of your products increases and your sales improve. Additionally, your Prime products can receive Amazon Badges that build customer trust and are sales-promoting. You can also guarantee your customers fast delivery times with Prime.
As a seller, you can use Prime either with FBA or SFP:
- With Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA), you send your products to an Amazon warehouse. When a customer orders, Amazon ships the item on your behalf to the customer. Amazon therefore handles the entire logistics including returns and customer service with FBA.
- With Prime through Seller (SFP – Seller Fulfilled Prime), qualified sellers can ship their items themselves with a certified shipping service provider (currently DPD) according to strict time requirements so that the items receive Prime status on Amazon.
